The requirement of steel structure building for foundation is much lower than that of traditional concrete. What are the requirements of steel structure building for foundation.
The foundation selection of steel structure building is focused on its bearing layer, especially for some higher steel structure buildings, the foundation slab or pile end should go deep into the bearing layer. Therefore, the foundation of the same structural unit can not use both natural foundation and artificial foundation, and can not use two or more types of soil layers with large property differences as the foundation. Sometimes, in order to prevent the uneven settlement of the ground, the foundation will be deepened or the pile length will be increased.
Steel structure building, especially light steel building, can not be affected by any geological environment, whether it is wetland or arid area, can achieve the optimal construction conditions through construction, but also can save the construction period. Because of the superior seismic performance of steel structure buildings, we can see many steel structure buildings in some areas with high earthquake incidence. The whole installation process is convenient and the protection effect is good, but we need to take some targeted foundation stability measures and strengthen the integrity of the foundation. There may be liquefiable soil layer in the range of foundation bearing stratum in earthquake prone area, so some measures must be taken to eliminate the adverse effect of soil liquefaction on superstructure.
The following measures can be taken to eliminate the adverse effects of foundation soil liquefaction settlement on steel structure buildings
1. If pile foundation is used in steel structure building, the length of pile end extending into the stable soil layer below the liquefaction depth shall be determined according to the bearing capacity of pile, and all liquefiable soil layers within the foundation bearing layer shall be excavated.
2. Densification method can be used to eliminate the adverse effects of soil liquefaction, such as sand pile compaction method, dynamic compaction method, vibroflotation method, etc., so as to ensure the treatment to the lower interface of soil liquefaction depth.
