1. The waterproof materials selected for steel structure installation roof engineering shall meet the following requirements. The variety, model and specification of waterproof material shall be indicated on the drawing, and its main physical properties shall meet the requirements of the specification for material quality index;

Considering the construction environmental conditions and the operability of the process, the materials used shall be compatible under the following conditions: waterproof materials (refers to coiled materials and coatings, the same below), base treatment agent, waterproof materials, adhesives, waterproof materials and sealing materials, waterproof materials and protective layer coatings, composite use of the two waterproof materials, base treatment agent and sealing materials.

According to the nature of the building and the use function of the roof, the selection of waterproof materials should not only meet the requirements of this specification, but also meet the following requirements: for the exposed inaccessible roof, the waterproof materials with strong adhesion to the base and excellent UV resistance should be used, and the heat aging retention rate, acid rain resistance and puncture resistance should be selected. Waterproof materials with puncture resistance, mildew resistance and high tensile strength shall be selected for accessible roof. Water storage roof and planting roof should be made of waterproof materials with excellent corrosion resistance, mildew resistance and puncture resistance. Thin shell, fabricated structure, steel structure and other long-span building roof should use lightweight, heat-resistant, good deformation adaptability waterproof materials. The inverted roof should be made of waterproof materials with good deformation adaptability and high joint sealing guarantee rate. The waterproof material with strong adhesion to the base and low temperature sensitivity should be selected for sloping roof. The sealing materials with strong adhesion to the base, good low temperature resistance and certain displacement adaptability should be selected for roof joint sealing waterproofing.
4. The steel structure installation roof should be made of low water absorption, low density, low thermal conductivity and certain strength insulation materials; The water content of the closed insulation layer can be calculated and determined according to the relative water content corresponding to the local annual average relative humidity and the mass water absorption rate of the material. Waterproof and thermal insulation materials are commonly used in roof engineering.
